The New King

In Episode 2, we saw how Cronus overthrew his father Uranus and became the new King of the Titans. Now, Cronus ruled over the entire world. He married the beautiful Titaness Rhea, and for a time, everything seemed peaceful.

But power can make even the mightiest king afraid. And Cronus was about to receive the most terrifying news of his life.

The Terrible Prophecy

One day, Cronus received a prophecy — a prediction of the future that would change everything. The prophecy warned him:

"One of your own children will rise up against you, Cronus. Just as you overthrew your father Uranus, so too will your child overthrow you."

Cronus was terrified. He remembered how he had taken power from his own father. Now the same fate might be waiting for him! The thought haunted him day and night. He couldn't eat, he couldn't sleep. All he could think about was this dreadful prediction.

A Monstrous Decision

Cronus made a decision so terrible that it shocked even the other Titans. He decided that if his children could never grow up, they could never overthrow him. So every time Rhea gave birth to a baby, Cronus did the unthinkable...

He Swallowed Them Whole

As soon as each baby was born, Cronus swallowed them. Not one, not two, but five children — one after another. Each time Rhea held her newborn in her arms, Cronus snatched the baby away and swallowed it down into his belly.

"Five times Rhea held a tiny, beautiful baby in her arms. Five times she felt the warmth of new life. And five times, that warmth was taken from her."

The five children didn't die — they were gods, after all. Instead, they grew inside Cronus's belly, trapped in darkness, waiting.

A Mother's Heartbreak

Rhea was absolutely heartbroken. She had lost five children to her husband's fear. Five babies she had carried, five babies she had loved, five babies she would never hold again.

Every day, Rhea wept. Every night, she prayed. She couldn't understand how Cronus, who was supposed to protect their family, had become so driven by fear that he would harm his own children.

"Rhea wept until the rivers swelled and the mountains trembled with her sorrow. But deep in her heart, a spark of hope still burned..."

But Rhea Had a Plan

When Rhea learned she was expecting a sixth child, she knew she had to act. She would not let Cronus take this baby too. This time would be different. This time, she would fight back.

What was Rhea's plan? And who was this sixth child that would change the course of history forever?

"The sixth child would be different. The sixth child would be the one to fulfill the prophecy. The sixth child's name... was Zeus."
