The Corinth Canal — Where Two Seas Meet

코린트 운하 — 두 바다가 만나는 곳

The 6.4 km canal, carved through solid limestone in the 1880s, connects the Aegean Sea to the Ionian Sea. Watching a yacht pass through the narrow passage — just 21 meters wide with 80-meter walls — is one of Greece's most dramatic sights.

Ancient Corinth — Temple of Apollo & Roman Ruins

고대 코린트 — 아폴로 신전과 로마 유적

Ancient Corinth was one of the wealthiest cities in classical Greece, rivaling Athens. The seven remaining Doric columns of the Temple of Apollo (540 BC) are among the oldest stone temple ruins in Greece. Saint Paul preached here, and the city's two harbors controlled trade between East and West.

Archaeological Museum of Ancient Corinth

고대 코린트 고고학 박물관

The museum at the archaeological site houses an exceptional collection of Corinthian pottery — from geometric-period aryballoi to black-figure lekythoi — as well as terracotta sculptures, theatrical masks, and Roman-era artifacts. Corinth was famous throughout the ancient world for its distinctive pottery style.

Acrocorinth — The Impregnable Fortress

아크로코린트 — 난공불락의 요새

Rising 575 meters above sea level, Acrocorinth is one of the most impressive ancient fortresses in Greece. Three layers of defensive walls, Byzantine churches, Ottoman mosques, and Venetian towers — 3,000 years of conquerors left their mark on this summit. The panoramic view from the top spans both the Gulf of Corinth and the Saronic Gulf.
