This blog is a record of a former professor of electrical engineering who, after retirement, returned to the sea to rediscover the world through sailing, travel, and reflection.
I spent over thirty years teaching and researching electrical engineering at university.
After retirement, I became a certified sailing skipper with the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and have logged more than 2,000 nautical miles as skipper, primarily in Greece and Croatia.
This blog is not about consuming destinations, but about understanding places.
Through sailing logs, travel narratives, and photography, I aim to document not only where I went, but what those places revealed over time.
